Before you count on it. Colorado does not contact you when your exclusion is active, so keep a copy of your signed form and proof of sending. You can still contact the Division to ask whether your form arrived. The Division’s instructions don’t say whether a remote notary must be commissioned in Colorado. Look over the official application and fill in any remaining blanks before you sign and send it. | ||||||||

| online casino | No program foundWhat we checked: The Colorado Division of Gaming’s own published statement that internet gambling is illegal, read on sbg.colorado.gov 2026-10-08, together with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act’s enumerated, premises-based authorization. Not a statement about legal online sports betting or advance deposit wagering.WhyChecked 2026-10-08. The Division of Gaming’s own "What is Legal?" page states it directly: "Internet gambling is illegal under state and federal laws. Colorado law prohibits the transmission or reception of gambling information by any means." It cites the federal Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and the Wire Act as additional federal bars, and warns: "Unlike participants in legalized forms of gambling, persons who wager on online casinos have no recourse with any state agency should they not be paid for winning wagers or have any other dispute with the entity." The Colorado Limited Gaming Act and its constitutional authorization (Colo. Const. art. XVIII, sec. 9) confine "limited gaming" to specified games at licensed premises in Black Hawk, Central City and Cripple Creek, with no internet-casino licensing category. Limit: this is the regulator’s own statement about online casino gambling generally; it is not a ruling on legal online sports betting (a separately authorized and regulated product) or on the licensed Advance Deposit Wagering sites, neither of which this category covers. | 2 sources

How we checked
These are the kinds of gambling we checked, and the list may not include every way to gamble in the state. The Division of Gaming's own published statement says internet gambling is illegal in Colorado, so we ruled out online casino. Racing, fantasy sports, and charitable gaming and bingo are each regulated, by the Division of Racing Events, the Division of Gaming and the Secretary of State, but we couldn't establish whether the statewide list reaches them or whether they have a program of their own. Tribal casinos, the lottery, skill games and card rooms also stay unknown.
Colorado has one Division of Gaming application for state-regulated casino gambling and sports betting. You don't have to live in Colorado to use it, and the Division accepts an electronic signature and a remote notarization. It told us so in writing on October 2, 2026. It doesn't contact you to confirm your exclusion is active, so keep your own proof of sending. We checked the official sources linked on this page, not every gambling option in the state.
How Colorado's programs fit together
Colorado has one Division of Gaming list that covers casino gambling and sports betting, and we haven't confirmed that it reaches tribal casinos or the lottery.
What we know about each one
One Division of Gaming list covers casino gambling and both in-person and online sports betting under Colorado gaming regulators, so one sign-up covers all of those. The pages we read don't establish that it reaches tribal casinos or the lottery. To come off the list, the only removal route we found is the Division's removal rule: you request it and the Director approves. Signing up still doesn't cover every way to gamble in the state.

If you also gamble outside Colorado
State lists stop at the state line. Some casino companies' own bans reach their properties elsewhere, and each program above says what it covers. If you also travel to nearby states to gamble, check their pages too:
