Indiana: mobile sports wagering only (ISRP)

State regulator Run by Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC).

Indiana's narrower list: mobile sports wagering alone, enrolled online at the IGC's ISRP page. If the online identity check can't verify you, the IGC's portal points you to an Indiana casino or the IGC office instead. A person can hold this alongside VEP -- neither substitutes for the other. Land-based casinos, retail sportsbooks, pari-mutuel racing, paid fantasy sports, and e-sports wagering sit outside its scope.

What it blocks

Covers only mobile sports wagering. Narrower than VEP, which also reaches land-based casinos and retail sportsbooks -- a person can hold both or either. Pari-mutuel horse-race wagering, paid fantasy sports, and e-sports wagering are outside 'sports wagering' as ISRP defines it.

Self-exclusion programs do not all block the same things. Here is what the official rules say about each one.

How to enroll, how long it lasts, and the sources

Terms you can choose

One year or five years only -- no lifetime option, unlike VEP. Not automatically removed at term end: the self-restriction will not end unless and until the person provides notification of their wish to be removed after the term of self-restriction expires.

When it ends

This continues until you request removal.

The restriction does not end on its own; it continues until the person notifies the IGC of their wish to be removed, which can only happen after the chosen term expires. Removal is not effective until the person receives written notice from the IGC.

How to enroll

Sign up for the ISRP online.

This is the IGC's ISRP page -- the same place www.in.gov/igc/ISRP resolves to. Enrollment happens directly online here; there's no downloadable form. If the online identity check can't verify you, the portal tells you to visit an Indiana casino and ask for an IGC Agent, or to book an appointment at the IGC office in Indianapolis. No mail route is listed for signing up. Opening the page is not enrollment.

  1. Go to the IGC's ISRP page and sign up online. There's no paper form to download. If the online identity check can't verify you, the portal sends you to an Indiana casino (ask for an IGC Agent) or the IGC office in Indianapolis (call ahead for an appointment), with a valid photo ID. No mail route is listed for enrollment.
  2. Choose a term: one year or five years. There's no lifetime option here, unlike VEP.
  3. The portal asks for your name, date of birth, Social Security number, a driver's license, state ID or passport number, and multiple-choice identity questions. It also needs a photo of you and an image of your ID.
  4. One year or five years doesn't end on its own. The restriction stays in place until you notify the IGC you want off, and only after your term has expired.

Before you count on it. ISRP only reaches your mobile sports wagering account -- it does nothing for a casino floor, a retail sportsbook, or an off-track betting window. VEP is the broader program for those, and you can hold both. Pari-mutuel horse racing, paid fantasy sports, and e-sports wagering sit outside ISRP's own definition of sports wagering and aren't covered. The portal's questions and the company behind its identity check weren't observed. Whether residents and visitors are both eligible isn't established. Opening the ISRP page is not enrollment.
