Terms you can choose
1 year or 5 years, selected within the logged-in account. Cannot be reversed once activated. Login privileges are automatically restored once the selected period ends. A separate, shorter 'Timeout' feature (1 day up to 9 months) is not exclusion. The confirmation-dialog template also displays a 'permanently self-excluded' message state, but no permanent option appears in the selectable dropdown for the self-exclusion flow itself; unresolved whether a permanent option exists elsewhere.
When it ends
A fixed term ends on its own at the end of the term; whether a permanent term exists, and what would govern it, is not established.
A fixed term. Login privileges are automatically restored once the 1-year or 5-year period you selected ends. No removal request is filed and no approval is involved. It cannot be reversed before the period ends.
A lifetime term. Not verified: The selectable list in the self-exclusion flow offers 1 year and 5 years only. The site's confirmation dialog template also carries a 'permanently self-excluded' message state, so whether a permanent option exists somewhere is unresolved.
How to enroll
Sign in to iLottery and activate Self-Exclusion.
The control lives inside your logged-in iLottery account at rilot.com, and Player Support at 1-800-288-2485 will activate it for you instead if you ask. It takes effect immediately and cannot be reversed once activated. It closes the iLottery account and nothing else: exclusion from Bally's Lincoln and Tiverton, Sportsbook Rhode Island and Bally Casino runs through the separate in-person form. Reading the page does not activate anything.
- There is no form. Log in to your iLottery account at rilot.com and open the Self-Exclusion control, or call Player Support at 1-800-288-2485 and ask them to activate it for you.
- No identity document and no signature are described for this route. It applies to an existing account holder who is logged in.
- No notarization is involved; there is no paper form.
- Choose 1 year or 5 years. Those are the only lengths in the selectable list, and the choice cannot be reversed once it is activated.
- An on-screen confirmation dialog appears when you activate it, and the block takes effect immediately, because it is a login control on your own account.
- Login access is automatically restored once the period you chose ends. No removal request is filed and no approval is involved.
Before you count on it. This covers the online iLottery/VIP Club account and nothing else. Retail lottery tickets bought in a store are not addressed by it. It does not touch Bally's Lincoln or Tiverton, Sportsbook Rhode Island or Bally Casino; those take the separate in-person combined form, and enrolling in one of the two programs never enrolls you in the other. Login access comes back automatically at the end of the 1-year or 5-year period without you asking, so this is not a lasting block unless you set it again. The 'Timeout' feature in the same account, 1 day up to 9 months, is not self-exclusion. The site's confirmation dialog carries a 'permanently self-excluded' message state, but no permanent option appears in the selectable list, and whether one exists elsewhere is unresolved. Whether people who live outside Rhode Island can use it is not established beyond the site's 18+ age requirement. Once activated it cannot be reversed.
