Terms you can choose
1, 3, or 5 years, or lifetime. Removal at term end is automatic: 'you will be removed from the self-exclusion list once you've reached the end of your selected 1, 3 or 5 year exclusion period.' A lifetime selection cannot be removed: 'you will not be able to remove yourself from the list.' No early-removal or petition process is described.
Sign up for the longest exclusion time you can. Future you will thank you.
When it ends
A fixed term ends on its own at the end of the term; a lifetime term has no published way to lift it.
A fixed term. A 1-, 3- or 5-year term ends on its own: the Department states you are removed from the list once you reach the end of the period you selected. No way to shorten the term is described.
A lifetime term. A lifetime selection has no removal process. The Department states that if you choose lifetime, you will not be able to remove yourself from the list, and it describes no petition or appeal.
How to enroll
Open Vermont's self-exclusion registration portal.
This is the REGISTER HERE link from the Department's Exclusion List page. It opens a Vermonter Login sign-in chooser, and the application itself sits behind that login, so the exact fields were not read. Have ready: a selfie, a photo of your driver's license, passport or state ID, your Social Security number and an official identification number. Opening the portal does not put you on the list. Finish and submit the application. No processing time or confirmation is published, so write down the date you submitted.
- There is no form to download. Open the Department's registration portal from its Exclusion List page and sign in through Vermonter Login.
- Have your identity documents ready: a selfie, a photo of a government-issued picture ID (driver's license, passport or state ID), your Social Security number and an official identification number.
- Choose your period: 1, 3 or 5 years, or lifetime. A 1-, 3- or 5-year term removes you automatically at the end. A lifetime selection cannot be undone — the Department states you will not be able to remove yourself from the list.
- Expect a one-time code by email or phone during signup, and agreeing to terms at the end of the application. No separate confirmation notice afterwards is described.
- Handle fantasy sports separately. The Department directs you to each individually licensed fantasy sports operator's own website or online chat, and names none of them, so this list does nothing about fantasy contests.
- For help signing up, email DLL.PlayerExclusion@vermont.gov. That address answers questions; it is not a way to submit the request.
Before you count on it. This list covers mobile sports wagering. Vermont's statutes bar commercial casinos and pari-mutuel racing. No Vermont source we read says whether an online casino or tribal gaming exists, so this plan cannot tell you that nothing else needs its own request. Fantasy sports is legal here and sits entirely outside this list. For fantasy, the Department tells you to go to each licensed operator's own site or chat, and it names none of them, so this plan has no single place to send that request. A lifetime selection here has no removal path at all: the Department says plainly you will not be able to remove yourself. Enrollment needs a Vermonter Login account, a selfie, a photo ID, your Social Security number and an official identification number. The application sits behind that login and its exact fields were not read. No processing time and no confirmation notice after enrollment are described. Nonprofit raffles, lotteries and capped casino events are legal in Vermont and no exclusion mechanism tied to them was found.

The 'REGISTER HERE' link on the Department's Exclusion List page, confirmed live: it returns a real Vermonter Login SSO chooser, not a broken or placeholder page. The application's own field list sits behind that login and was not accessed.
Routes that get you a form or an answer, not an exclusion

For help signing up, not itself a route to submit the exclusion request.
Requirements and sources
Sources read 2026-09-24. These are the program's requirements, not a record of anyone's enrollment.
- Terms available
- 1, 3, or 5 years, or lifetime.
- Can a resident enroll
- 'For any individual to voluntarily exclude themselves' — no residency requirement is stated.
- Can a visitor enroll
- Same 'any individual' language applies, and enrollment is entirely online, so a non-resident can register without traveling to Vermont.
- Identification
- A selfie plus a photo of a driver's license, passport, or state identification card; Social Security number and an official identification number are also collected.
- Notarization
- Not verified: Not mentioned anywhere in the registration page or procedures; enrollment is a self-service online process (selfie and ID photo upload) with no witness or notary step described, but no source affirmatively states notarization is not required.
- Witnesses
- Not verified: Not addressed by any source read.
- Notarizing online
- Not verified: Notarization is not established as required, so remote online notarization does not clearly arise; the process is a self-service online identity upload rather than a notarized paper form.
- How long processing takes
- Sportsbooks that track exclusions in an internal system must update it at least every 72 hours with newly added names.
- How you are told it took effect
- Not verified: The registration page mentions agreeing to terms at the end of the application and receiving a one-time code by email or phone during signup, but no post-enrollment confirmation notice is described.
The form asks for: selfie photo, photo of a government-issued picture ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID), Social Security number, official identification number.
