Gambling types in Nevada

One self-exclusion list rarely blocks every kind of gambling. Here is what we found for each type of gambling in this state.

What we found for each gambling type in Nevada
Gambling typeWhat we foundSources
statewide casino-entry exclusionNo program foundWhat we checked: Nevada Gaming Commission Regulations 5 (5.170) and 5A (5A.130).
Why

Nevada does not have a single statewide casino self-exclusion list. Nevada Gaming Commission Regulation 5.170 requires casinos to let you limit credit, check cashing, and direct-mail marketing, and Regulation 5A.130 requires each online poker operator to keep its own self-exclusion list. Individual casino companies set their own entry-ban rules, which are listed on each casino's program card above.

How we checked

These are the kinds of gambling we checked. The list may not include every way to gamble in the state.

Nevada has no statewide self-exclusion list. Casino companies run the programs below, and this list doesn't include every casino in the state. We checked the official sources linked on this page, not every gambling option in the state.

Casinos and operators in Nevada, by name

Names come from the programs above and the casinos' own websites. One name can cover several properties. If a casino is missing here, we haven't added it yet.

We read pages on these casinos' own websites and found no way to ban yourself. That does not mean they won't bar you. Ask for security, ask whether they will bar you, and ask for it in writing.

How Nevada's programs fit together

Nevada has no statewide self-exclusion list, so whatever a casino company offers covers only its own properties, and signing up with one changes nothing at any other.

What we know about each one

Nevada has no statewide list for getting banned from casinos. State rules require only that a casino that offers credit, cashes checks or sends direct mail let you limit those, and online gaming companies each keep their own list. Where a casino bars you from entering, that is its own policy. So each program here reaches only that company's properties and only what that company names, and signing up with one changes nothing at any other. Only MGM, Maverick Gaming, Golden Entertainment, Station Casinos, Peppermill Reno and Caesars have a confirmed way to get a request to the casino. Caesars takes it by phone, on the Self Restriction/Self Exclusion line its exclusion page lists, and that exclusion covers every property it owns, operates or manages. The other eighteen of the twenty-four have no confirmed way to enroll you. Seventeen are contacts you can ask, and no source confirms that contacting them signs you up. TLC (Four Queens and Binion's) is the eighteenth: it publishes a full form for a notarized request by mail or email, but names no address for it. Casinos not listed here have no program on this page, and we don't know what they cover. That includes Boyd Gaming, whose corporate pages publish no Nevada procedure, and seven northern Nevada casinos whose responsible gaming pages publish none. Each program listed here is a separate sign-up. Signing up for all of them still doesn't cover every way to gamble in the state.

If you also gamble outside Nevada

State lists stop at the state line. Some casino companies' own bans reach their properties elsewhere, and each program above says what it covers. If you also travel to nearby states to gamble, check their pages too:
