FanDuel — self-exclusion across FanDuel products
The company’s own exclusion Run by FanDuel (Betfair Interactive US LLC).
FanDuel's self-exclusion is set inside your signed-in account and, in FanDuel's words, applies to all your other eligible FanDuel products. Lengths and terms vary by state, starting at one year. Where a state runs a statewide program, FanDuel says its tool can enroll you in it. FanDuel does not name those states. After a period ends you may be able to log back in, or support may need to review the account. Closing (deactivating) an account is a different thing: support can reactivate it.
What it blocks
- Online play. "You won't be able to log in to FanDuel until your Self-Exclusion period ends. Your upcoming Daily Fantasy entries will be canceled. Active and pending wagers will be settled according to state or provincial regulations."
- Marketing and mailings. "Your email will be removed from promotional and marketing communications within 72 hours."
Terms you can choose
"Select the number of years you'd like to set as your self-exclusion", "starting at 1 year"; the help article says durations vary by jurisdiction. The menu for a given state is not published outside the account.
When it ends
Not verified.
A fixed term. "After your Self-Exclusion period ends, you may be able to reactivate your account by simply logging in. Some accounts require additional verification or review by our Support Team." Whether a given account reopens on its own is therefore not certain. Closing an account is separate and not an exclusion: "Deactivation is the same as permanently closing your account," yet "To reactivate your account, you'll need to contact our Customer Support team."
A lifetime term. Not verified: No FanDuel page read lists a lifetime self-exclusion term.
How to enroll
Open FanDuel’s self-exclusion steps.
You self-exclude inside your signed-in FanDuel account. FanDuel’s help page shows where. Opening the page changes nothing.
- Sign in to FanDuel.
- Open Responsible Gaming (or User Tools), then Self-Exclusion.
- Pick a length, enter your information and submit.
- Choose Self-Exclusion. Closing your account is different: support can reopen a closed account.
- Write down the date and any confirmation you get.
Before you count on it. Keep the state steps in your plan. Whether this reaches your state’s own list depends on the state, and most apps don’t say.
Every route we checked
Routes that enroll you
- Online — FanDuel app or website, signed in: Responsible Gaming (or User Tools), Self-Exclusion
"Sign in to your FanDuel account. Open the Responsible Gaming or User Tools section. Select Self-Exclusion. Select your Self-Exclusion period, enter your information, and submit your request." FanDuel adds that "the exact navigation and available Self-Exclusion options may vary depending on your FanDuel product and jurisdiction." The help center opens in a browser.
Requirements and sources
Sources read 2026-10-05. These are the program's requirements, not a record of anyone's enrollment.
- What it covers
- "Self-Exclusion is a long-term break that restricts access to your eligible FanDuel accounts for the time period you choose. If you Self-Exclude from one FanDuel product, your Self-Exclusion will apply to all your other eligible FanDuel products. Self-Exclusion options, durations, and terms vary by jurisdiction." Which products count as eligible in each state is not listed. On state lists, FanDuel's responsible-gaming page says: "you have the ability to exclude yourself from gaming with FanDuel or with all of the operators in your state," and "with other operators (when you sign up for a state-wide self-exclusion program)." It does not name the states where its tool reaches a statewide program, so for any one state that is not established.
