Self-exclusion you can do online

Some programs let you enroll through a website. Here is every state, sorted by what our sources say about that. Open your state to see the steps.

Covers all 51 state pages and uses the same records they do. Each state shows the date it was last reviewed. How we check facts.

Online enrollment confirmed 33 states

At least one program on each of these pages takes enrollment online, and a source says so. Other programs in the same state may still need paper or a visit.

  • Colorado reviewed 2026-10-02

    • Colorado: casinos and sports betting State regulator
Enrolls you online. Start from the official page, not from a saved form link. It carries two Google Forms labeled "Apply to the Self-Exclusion List online!" plus a third for removal. The Division wrote on 2026-10-02: "There is a self-exclusion form and request for removal form that may be applied for online through Google Forms. Both are current." It did not say which of the two application links it means, and neither could be read past a Google sign-in, so read the heading of whichever form opens before you fill it in. An electronic signature is accepted and a photo copy of your ID is required.
  • Connecticut reviewed 2026-09-24

  • District of Columbia reviewed 2026-10-01

    • District of Columbia: lottery and sports wagering together State regulator
Enrolls you online. Named as the online application by both OLG's own general instructions PDF and by 30 DCMR §2129.15, which lets the Office 'provide procedures permitting online self-exclusion.' We haven't seen the live form's on-screen fields ourselves; what it asks for is known only from the linked PDF instructions. This directly conflicts with OLG's own Self-Exclusion FAQ page, which states enrollment 'must be completed and signed in person' with no online option mentioned at all — an unresolved disagreement between two current official OLG pages, recorded here rather than resolved by picking one.
  • Georgia reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Georgia: your online Georgia Lottery account only State regulator
Enrolls you online. "I would like to self-exclude myself for: [dropdown] ... Proceed." Submitting sends the request. The page then reports "You are now self-excluded." and logs you out.
  • Idaho reviewed 2026-09-09

  • Indiana reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Indiana: casinos, sportsbooks, off-track betting locations and mobile sports wagering (VEP) State regulator
Enrolls you online. The current program page states enrollment is also available online by passing an identity verification check, with a photograph provided as part of the online application. The application is at secure.in.gov and asks for your name, date of birth, Social Security number, a driver's license, state ID or passport number, and multiple-choice identity questions, plus a photo of you and an image of your ID. Note: the administrative rule 68 IAC 6-3-2(c) still says a requester must appear in person at a commission office or another location designated by the executive director and does not mention an online path. Nothing the IGC publishes says which one governs.
    • Indiana: mobile sports wagering only (ISRP) State regulator
Enrolls you online. A person may sign up for the ISRP online via the IGC website at www.in.gov/igc/ISRP. The portal's own message for a failed identity check lists an in-person alternative at an Indiana casino or the IGC office. Mail isn't listed for enrollment.
    • Four Winds casinos (Michigan and South Bend, Indiana): tribal casino exclusion Tribal gaming commission
      No online route on record.
  • Iowa reviewed 2026-10-02

    • Iowa Lottery: prize redemption and lottery play at regional offices State regulator
      No online route on record.
    • Iowa: casinos, racetracks, sports wagering and fantasy sports (IRGC) State regulator
Enrolls you online. NVSEP's Iowa page covers this program: casinos and racetracks, online gaming and fantasy sports, for five years or lifetime, and names mail and in-person enrollment as the alternatives to it. NVSEP says it fills in the state's form online, verifies your ID, arranges a free online notarization through Proof when the state requires one, and submits the form to the state electronically. The Commission's own FAQ names NVSEP.org as a free remote notarization service for this form. Its own sign-up portal lists Iowa among the states that require meeting a free online notary before the exclusion is fully processed, and it takes one such state per request, so Colorado, California or Michigan's online list is a separate request. Identity checks there start with a live face scan, and NVSEP says the pictures you submit are stored on your self-exclusion record.
  • Kansas reviewed 2026-09-24

  • Kentucky reviewed 2026-10-05

    • Kentucky: the online Kentucky Lottery account only (Fun Club / iLottery) State regulator
Enrolls you online. In-account self-service action. Both terms documents: "by following the instructions on the Self Exclusion page located within the account options on the website or app." The Lottery's Positive Play page words the same step as "log in to your Fun Club profile page and select the 'Take a Break' or 'Self-Exclusion' option".
  • Maine reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Maine: Hollywood Casino Bangor and Oxford Casino State regulator
      No online route on record.
    • Maine: sports wagering, tracks and off-track betting State regulator
Enrolls you online. Chapter 13 states the request may be made 'through an internet wagering operator's platform or application.' No single statewide URL is published; the route is whichever licensed operator's own app the person already has an account with, or would need to create one for. Caesars Sportsbook's Maine page lists four ways to request the state-wide list and none is performed inside its app; nothing read describes an in-app flow.
  • Massachusetts reviewed 2026-09-24

  • Michigan reviewed 2026-09-17

  • Mississippi reviewed 2026-10-01

    • Mississippi: land-based casinos and retail/simulcast sports wagering State regulator
Enrolls you online. The current published enrollment route: 'Sign-up is completed online and requires an email address to get started.' The portal asks for an email address and sends a one-time passcode (we saw this first step on 2026-09-25); we did not go past the passcode screen. The steps rest on the Commission's problem-gaming page and the User Guide PDF.
  • Missouri reviewed 2026-09-17

    • Missouri: casinos State regulator
Enrolls you online. The Commission's own pages link this as the Disassociated Persons Online Application. The applicant has seven days from submission to upload a photograph, identification and a photograph of themselves holding the identification, or the application is deleted.
    • Missouri: Lottery prizes over $600 and the players club State regulator
      No online route on record.
    • Missouri: sports betting, online and in person State regulator
Enrolls you online. The same portal as the casino list, selecting the Sports Wagering Self-Excluded Persons List at login. To join both lists the applicant completes one application, returns to the login screen and completes the other.
  • Montana reviewed 2026-09-17

  • Nebraska reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Nebraska Self-Exclusion Program State regulator
Enrolls you online. The Commission's own Responsible Gaming page names this platform as the 'Nebraska VSE Application', and it is the only application route that page lists. NVSEP's Nebraska page says it supports exclusion from all Nebraska licensed casino operators and pari-mutuel wagering facilities 'through a collaboration with the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission'. Title 296 tells an applicant to follow 'the procedure outlined in the Commission's website'. NVSEP says it fills in the state's form online, verifies your ID, arranges a free online notarization through Proof when the state requires one, and submits the form to the state electronically. Its own sign-up portal lists Nebraska among the states it registers directly, with no notary meeting. Identity checks there start with a live face scan, and NVSEP says the pictures you submit are stored on your self-exclusion record.
  • Nevada reviewed 2026-09-09

  • New Hampshire reviewed 2026-10-01

    • New Hampshire: Games of Chance rooms, one facility at a time State regulator
      No online route on record.
    • New Hampshire: NH Lottery iLottery account State regulator
Enrolls you online. NH Lottery Support, "How do I set up self-exclusion?" (modified 2 Aug 2025). Steps on mobile and desktop: sign in with iLottery credentials; open the account menu and My Account; "Scroll down to Responsible Gambling and select Self-Exclusion"; "Select the length of self-exclusion—one, three, or six months—from the drop-down menu. Click SUBMIT to proceed to confirmation"; "Select YES to confirm self-exclusion." Requires an existing iLottery account. The Lottery's Play Responsibly page offers only a helpline; this tool is inside the account.
    • New Hampshire: online racing accounts, one provider at a time State regulator
Enrolls you online. TVG's Responsible Gaming page offers "Timeout & Exclusions: Timeout, Self-Exclude, Suspend Account". The Self-Exclude tab reads "Self-Exclude 1-5 Years" and "What a Self-exclusion means: You can't log into your account. You'll need to contact Support to reactivate after exclusion period. You won't receive any marketing communications." The tool sits behind sign-in and was not tested. DraftKings Racing Terms of Use: "Information about responsible gaming, including self-exclusion and self-limitation options, is available by clicking HERE. In the event you self-exclude when you have pending bets, such bets will remain active." The Responsible Gaming Center lists Self-Exclusion under Breaks. The steps, the available lengths and any New Hampshire handling were not readable without signing in; DraftKings' help article on limiting access shows only a privileges error. DraftKings' self-exclusion page (read 2026-10-01): "By submitting this form, you will be self-excluded from every DraftKings product, including Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG), DFS and Pick6, DK Horse / DraftKings Racing, DraftKings Predictions, and Jackpocket lottery courier, in all locations." One DraftKings submission therefore covers both DraftKings Sportsbook and DraftKings Racing.
    • New Hampshire: sports betting through your DraftKings account State regulator
Enrolls you online. DraftKings' New Hampshire Sportsbook Terms of Use (last updated 6/1/2023): "The Company shall also permit the Authorized Account Holder to set responsible gaming limits and to self-exclude." The Commission's Director of Sports Betting confirmed in writing on 2026-10-22: "Customers can request self-exclusion through an online form available in the DraftKings app or website. After logging in, customers can access the Self-Exclusion page and complete the form. The self-exclusion page is available at rg.draftkings.com/breaks/self-exclusion." That page sits behind sign-in, so we could not see its exact fields directly. The Director also confirmed: "Yes. A self-exclusion request submitted through DraftKings covers both the DraftKings mobile app and NH Sportsbook locations. Sports 603 did not launch, so there are no Sports 603 retailers to include." One DraftKings submission therefore covers the mobile app, NH Sportsbook retail locations, and DraftKings Racing (per the operator's own all-products self-exclusion language).

  • New York reviewed 2026-09-24

  • North Carolina reviewed 2026-09-24

    • North Carolina: Education Lottery online play only State regulator
Enrolls you online. "You may temporarily or permanently exclude yourself from using your NCEL Account through our responsible gaming tools or by contacting the NCEL Online Play Support Center by calling 1-866-934-0289." The FAQ's steps: "Select My Account. Select 'Self-Exclusion'. Select down arrow to select the length of self-exclusion. Select 'Submit' to proceed to confirmation. Select 'YES' to confirm self-exclusion." Requires an existing NCEL online account. Checked 2026-10-01.
    • North Carolina: sports wagering and pari-mutuel wagering statewide State regulator
Enrolls you online. "To enroll in the Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program, fill out the Enrollment Form... By completing and submitting the Enrollment Form, you join the self-exclusion program and your name will be shared with all licensed operators in North Carolina." Typically takes effect within three to four business days.

  • Rhode Island reviewed 2026-09-24

  • South Dakota reviewed 2026-10-07

    • South Dakota Commission on Gaming Self-Exclusion Plan State regulator
Enrolls you online. Form 4014 is a SeamlessDocs e-signature form, not a downloadable PDF, and it signs and submits in the browser: 'Click to Sign', 'I agree to electronically sign and to create a legally binding contract between the other party and myself', and 'Sign Now! Please provide accurate information below to ensure the delivery of the signed copies of the document.' It requires the same two attachments as the paper route, both marked required: 'Driver's License or Identification Card' and 'Facial Photo'. What the Commission sends back, and how long it takes, is still not published.
    • South Dakota: Deadwood Mountain Grand, Silverado and Franklin Casino operator
      No online route on record.
  • Tennessee reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Tennessee: online and mobile sports betting State regulator
Enrolls you online. The Council’s own FAQ page states this application places a bettor on the statewide list "across all Tennessee sportsbooks." The application, read 2026-10-01, states its own scope: "you are not merely closing your account with one operator, but you are opting out of ALL online sports wagering with ALL operators licensed in Tennessee for the selected timeframe.".
    • Tennessee: fantasy sports contests, one operator at a time Casino operator
Enrolls you online. The Council’s page names these operators’ in-app settings as the self-exclusion method rather than an email address; we have not confirmed the exact menu path inside each app.
  • Utah reviewed 2026-09-09

    • Utah fantasy sports — shared self-exclusion Multi-state program
Enrolls you online. Open the self-exclusion page in any one of these apps. NVSEP's Utah page says doing it there excludes you "across them all"; in Dabble, choose the option to also exclude yourself from the other operators. NVSEP's own sign-up site does not offer Utah, so the app is the way in.
    • Prediction-market self-exclusion Shared operator program
Enrolls you online. Create an account with your email, verify your ID and choose a duration; log in later to see your status and time remaining.
  • Vermont reviewed 2026-09-24

    • Vermont: mobile sports wagering (statewide list) State regulator
Enrolls you online. The 'REGISTER HERE' link on the Department's Exclusion List page, confirmed live: it returns a real Vermonter Login SSO chooser, not a broken or placeholder page. The application's own field list sits behind that login and was not accessed.
  • Virginia reviewed 2026-09-24

  • West Virginia reviewed 2026-09-24

  • Wyoming reviewed 2026-10-02

    • Wyoming: online sports betting, horse racing wagering and skill games State regulator
Enrolls you online. The only enrollment route. The Commission wrote on 2026-10-02 that it “only utilizes the NVSEP portal for self-exclusions”; its own self-exclusion page links here and nowhere else, and the platform gates the application behind an emailed sign-in code. Paper forms were retired when Wyoming joined the platform in December 2025. This is also where a removal request is filed. Its own sign-up portal lists Wyoming among the states it registers directly, with no notary meeting. Identity checks there start with a live face scan, and NVSEP says the pictures you submit are stored on your self-exclusion record.
